East Kilbride nurseries

Hi, I'm moving to East Kilbride soon and will be putting my son into nursery in December when he's ten months. I like the look of Kirriemuir and it's walkable but have heard compliments about Redwood. Anyone have experience of either, or any others in EK? We'll be in Hairmyres but happy to drive him further afield if the place is better.

There’s quite a good few nurseries around but I would suggest visiting and getting a feel for them once you arrive.

My 2 kids were at little scholars from when they were babies also about 10 months old. Its in the whitehills area of EK, just about 2ish miles from Hairmyres.

It’s a great nursery with a big outside garden and forrest area they take the kids to. They are always doing little extras too like hiring in bouncy castle for the kids, colour run in the car park, Santa visits and reindeer, the Easter bunny and even the grinch. They have a pony too that visits.

The staff are all lovely and I never had any issues. My kids loved it there. They also loved the home cooked food but don’t seem to like mine 😂

They also have a shaded side garden for the little ones so they don’t get over run by the bigger kids.

Thank you both! I love the idea of the forest - I'll visit a few and include that one.
