Weather and Isle of Lewis/Harris

How predictable are weather forecasts for the Isle of Lewis and Harris? Due to travel on 13th to 20th and it’s gone from full out sun to rain :(

it will be beautiful rain, I know, but is there any chance forecasts are wildly unreliable in this part of the world?

Don’t worry about the weather. It can be rain for half an hour then sunshine for 2 up there. It’s a good couple of weeks off so I wouldn’t even look at a forecast until the 11th.

Too far away to be certain, look at XC Weather nearer the time, it tends to be reasonably accurate.

Just bring lots of layers. It can be hailstones one day, sunshine the next.

Definitely can’t rely on the forecast at all this far out, and even day of (as with most of Scotland!) — when we were there, the weather was very changeable. Had some brilliant sunshine and some downpours. It was great though.
