Moving house within lanarkshire

Hi, I’ve accepted an offer on my house this week . I haven’t moved in 35 years so I’m a bit out of touch. How much approx should I expect to pay for a removal van from a 3 bed terrace to 2 bed bungalow on a 12 mile journey in north Lanarkshire. I did self drive van hire last time but I’ll need to let someone else do the lifting this time 💪

If it’s allowed could anyone maybe recommend a company who is reliable and not overpriced.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

We moved within lanarkshire last year we were £300 for movers 3 men and a large truck. Although I wouldn't recommend them to be honest, bunch of chancers, my DH was good for them though!
A lot of the movers do free quotes online you just have to put in what you are taking and the postcodes.

Thanks for your reply. I’ll have a look at trying some online quotes.

The fact you are not moving far will have little bearing on the cost tbh - the cost is in the shifting stuff in and out of the van.

I've used Stirling man with a van but costs were nearer £800 and that was a smaller move.

Thank you. Were you happy enough with them?

Yes. Very happy though they couldn't move my piano. That needs a specialist.
