Hello

Can anyone recommend a good solicitor for a house purchase? Thank you!

Ds used John Carson, a couple of years ago.  [email protected]
01236 421136 and was happy with him. I think he's based in Uddingston but ds was buying south side of Glasgow.

Valerie O'Neil at MacFarlane Young in Paisley (0141 889 3257) is also good - although in the end our house purchase didn't go through and we're staying where we are (long story Wink)

Ross Rogers in Rutherglen. I came across them indirectly when my then boss was selling his home and was using them as conveyancing lawyers. He was often out of the office so I was taking messages from them. I was impressed at how they were keeping him up to date. When we needed a conveyancing lawyer a few years later, that's who we used and we weren't disappointed.

Pat Coyle of Kavanagh Coyle in Glasgow city centre is great, we used her to buy and sell. Really thorough and we had quite a complicated sales process.

We moved from England to Glasgow last year and used Liza Henry from Henry Kennedy Solicitors. Her knowledge of the market is incredible and I highly recommend her. Liza is always contactable, efficient and reasonably priced. Good luck!

I've used Mcvey and Murricane a few times. They have an online conveyancing section that is reasonably priced.

Me!!

Wouldn’t be touting for business here though, not very professional of me.

Of the ones mentioned previously there’s only one I wouldn’t use myself, so if you go with one of them you’ve got pretty good odds.
