ASN First Tier Tribunal appeal

Hello all. Looking to appeal the refusal of placing request for my child with ASN into a special unit. The refusal letter refers to the appeal being via the Health and Education Chamber of the First-Tier Tribunal for Scotland and reading the guidance from that, I'm taking the hint we should get some sort of legal representation. Do others have experience of this and would you agree legal representation is sensible/ necessary? Any hints and tips on going through the process?

Thanks

Give Goven Law a call

Thanks, on the tribunal’s website there was a reference to an organisation for legal support, whose address is the Govan Law Centre so I assume affiliated in some way.

They are a charity and funded by the Scottish Government which sounds like a conflict of interest but the set up seems to work. I don’t have direct experience with them myself but it’s the one I hear about most when I hear about tribunals. I think their service is free. It would be worth giving them a call just for advice if nothing else.

Good luck. It’s terrible that you have to fight for an appropriate place for your child.
