Edinburgh chippy - recommendations please

Can anyone recommend a traditional chippy in Edinburgh city centre that still serves the food wrapped in paper (not actual newspaper - I mean the greaseproof stuff). It seems most places now use carboard trays which is just not the same. I plan to take DCs into town to see the Christmas lights and I'd like to treat them to an old fashioned chippy to eat on our laps somewhere as I remember doing growing up. Any recommendations? Thank you.

Not sure there are any in the city centre that still serve in paper.

You could try Cafe Picante on Broughton Street, City Restaurant (they do takeaway) next to the festival theatre or there is a chip shop on the grass market, castle chips or something like that.

There's also one on the corner where Rose St meets Frederick St, it keeps changing name.
