Any recommendations please? It's for a weekend evening so would like to book in advance. We are looking at city centre / west end at a push.

Nothing spicy/Indian - favourites are italian etc -

Many thanks

The Anchor Line or The Citizen are always nice.

AyrshireTryer · 13/11/2024 21:18

or the Red Sky Bar for the great view, although that's a bit further out.

RedRedRobot · 13/11/2024 21:19

Sugo - a pasta place near Central station?

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 13/11/2024 21:20

Sugo is the place to go for teens.

spub · 13/11/2024 21:20

Santa Lucia also really good

Guineapiggiesmalls · 13/11/2024 21:26

Yep, came to say Sugo or Paesano for teens. You can’t book, but the queue moves quickly.

RestitutionGranted · 13/11/2024 21:30

Sugo
Paesano
Bread meets Bread

My kids love The Italian Cafe in the Merchant City. Lovely Italian food, good service and reasonably priced.

ChocoChocoLatte · 13/11/2024 21:37

Great thanks guys - I knew you wouldn't let me down. We do Paesano a lot so fancied somewhere else.

La Vita, Gordon Street do small plates or bigger sharing dishes.
Sugo popular with my teens too but personally don't think the menu is up to much.

Tintackedsea · 13/11/2024 21:43

Sugo

Also quite like Sputini

SableOrGules · 14/11/2024 08:24

Topolabamba also popular with my teens. Sugo is decent, as others have said you can't book but we've never waited that long. Paesano has one restaurant just off George Sq and another in Great Western Road

Willowback · 14/11/2024 09:38

My teens also love topolabamba there's one in city centre and one in the west end.

ChocoChocoLatte · 16/11/2024 15:59

@SomeonTookMyAnonymousUserName we did the Italian Caffe pre theatre menu and it was ace. £130 for the five of us including a bottle of wine, a few beers and 3 x 3 courses and 2 x 2. Food was lovely and the staff were great too!
