Probably clutching at straws here but will ask anyway!
Meeting family to eat out on Xmas Day.
We have discussed either East Dunbartonshire or Woodlands/ West End Glasgow and are trying to find somewhere that does lunch for under £50 per person.
Any ideas?
Thanks so much!

I think you'll struggle to get anywhere on Christmas Day for under £50

That’s what I thought- hence clutching at straws- but thought I’d try anyway 🤞

Toby Carvery £62.95 for adults on Christmas Day and a roast dinner doesn’t come much cheaper than there normally so I’m afraid your £50 is totally unrealistic. Your only hope might be an Indian or Chinese type cuisine.

Thanks- we love Indian food so that would be an option. Again would love any recommendations…

Op may I suggest you Google all the pub chains in your area?? I've been looking cheapest one is £47 for 3 courses. Toby carvery is coming in at £53 in my areas x

I've gone out to eat a few times on Christmas day and tbh it's never great. Usually long wait and regardless of the quality of the venue and the price paid, the food is like canteen fodder/cold/not worth what you paid.

The exception was the year we went for an Indian. To be fair it didn't feel "Christmassy" but we'd just had a few bereavements as a family and really weren't really up for a jolly Christmas, we just wanted somewhere with good food that could take a large group so we could all be together.

We went to the Cavalry Club in Edinburgh but that was at least 25 years ago so really not a recommendation for now for you. But if you enjoy Indian food I'd say that that would be your best option.

I haven’t checked their Christmas Day prices but if you are looking for an Indian restaurant in Glasgow West End, try Mother India at Lansdowne Crescent, lovely staff, gorgeous food and a nice festive venue.
