If you are grown up professionals as opposed to students, I would not advise living in Marchmont! Try Morningside, Blackford, Craiglockhart if you must be at that side of the city.

@StillAtTheRestaurant we have an elderly parent/parent in law there who we need to be near without living with them x

From my experience Scottish properties sell well above the asking price though?

@Whatabanana some do yes, although the market is a bit weird right now

we saw a fixed price one in Newington for 400 which we loved but decided against as it eat up lots of stairs and we practised them with the buggy and toddler. That was when we decided on ground floor.

@DuesToTheDirt we actually viewed that one but too many steps and no bike buggy storage downstairs. It will be a brilliant flat for someone though. It’s quite lovely.

Second one is lovely too but think a penthouse flat will have lots to steps sadly. x
