Conservatory Cost?

Hello, just looking for recent experience of conservatory costs in Scotland. Been quoted what we think is ludicrous amount which we would never make back in added value to the property.

But, maybe that's normal. We're aware trade costs are high, but no experience of conservatories. Any experience or recommendations much appreciated. TIA!

I have been recently quoted £30.000for conservatory with the glass roof! Never in my life!

in 2022 we were quoted 5 figures for a conservatory
instead we converted the garage and had a garden room built for a fraction of the cost

Thanks both. We were quoted 49k (3x3m, minimal build up). Safe to say we're doing something else! Garden rooms a good shout, thank you.

Goodness that's a lot! Would that still be cheaper than a more brick built room though?

50k for a conservatory! The world really has gone mad

I think you’re right to rethink- I’d see a conservatory as a real negative if I was buying a house-they’re energy leeches, too hot in summer and cold in winter

Don't bother a,waste of money. Either too hot or too cold.
