Romantic hotels in Scotland - suggestions?

Just that really. Can anyone suggest some nice romantic hotels anywhere in Scotland? We’re from the Glasgow area so preferably not there though as we’d like to get away but somewhere with a romantic vibe would be great.

Another vote for Monachyle Mhor

Inn at Loch Tummel - quirky, a few little nooks with fires for sipping wine fabulous food.

Creggans Inn, The George, Loch Fyne hotel and spa - all lovely with great food around Loch Fyne

Quite far to go but we had a fab weekend at Mingary Castle on Ardnamurchan

Not been to Monachyle Mhor @Guineapiggiesmalls but it’s on our list. Heard only good things about the vibe and the food!

Have a wonderful time wherever you go, OP!

I'd recommend Gleneagles for any occasion.
I went to a wedding at Crossbasket Castle which was lovely so would recommend that too.

The pierhouse hotel in port appin

The fife arms in Braemar

I would give my right arm to stay in either of these two, we have had a coffee in both and they look wonderful.

The pierhouse ,especially known for fresh seafood. Its the guy who owns the 3 chimneys in skye who owns it. Really beautiful, intimate place. Fabulous views.

Im staying there before i die 🤞

I just noticed Crossbasket Castle a few weeks ago - it's just up the road and I never knew of its existence! Looking forward to trying out an afternoon tea there.

My favourite place is Auchrannie in Arran, if you get an executive room you get the access to the hot tub on the roof terrace.

sodabreadjam · 05/12/2024 22:02

Cromlix near Kinbuck. We went for lunch recently. It was beautiful.

DH and I loved a night away in a tiny village inn, I suppose, above a pub in East Lothian. It was quiet, charming and cosy, and the pub food was excellent.

So my suggestion would be a similar place in a sweet wee village.
