Hairdressers in Edinburgh

Looking for a good hairdresser . I have short hair and don’t colour it anymore. My hairdresser just does the same thing every time and never has any ideas. I want something different and need someone who cuts really well and has some suggestions to make.

What area?

zerofucksgivenever · 21/09/2024 16:47

Medusa salons .....several in the city!

Marco at Medusa on Hanover Street. Not cheap - but he cuts great hair. And I console myself that I no longer spend money dying my hair, so I can have a great cut

What area?

Anywhere really if they’re good, but central would be easiest.

Thanks I will try him. I went to someone in Stockbridge and who was very good but she left and the next person wasn’t anything great and twice as expensive.

I’ve been going to Emma Hall for years and really like it. Zoe is an incredible stylist.

Connolly on Howe St - Louise

I’d also recommend Emma Hall, just north of Gayfield Square on Haddington Place. She’s good with shorter hairstyles.

I also second Connolly’s on Howe Street - different stylist, though - Lucy (she is Vidal Sassoon trained).

Or Bau Hair Design on Brougham Street (Tollcross). Daisy is great and also Vidal Sassoon trained.

Some great recommendations here! The stylist I went to at Medusa who I liked ws Vidal Sassoon trained. I used to go to Connolly's some time ago so helpful to know about different stylists there.
