2 DC, 9 +11 with us

We plan to park at Shields Rd park +ride and subway in about noon. Ideally nice but quick lunch, then 5 to 6 hours to look about, relaxed dinner somewhere around 7, then leave.

Recs for food places and what we should / shouldn't miss please

Depends what you are into. Art , history , walking , there’s loads to do.

GHSP · 08/07/2024 12:42

science museum. Absolutely fantastic for kids that age

TudorClock · 08/07/2024 12:45

Thanks for the replies. Art probably not a winner with the DCs .

Science museum more likely.

They are good little walkers , so wondered about a walking tour (?) Or open top bus tour maybe?

Get subway from where you are to Partick subway.

Then have lunch and go to Riverside Museum. It's basically the new and improved transport museum. An old Glasgow street and places you can climb inside. Fun for kids and adults I think!

Ah xpost @Rizzo8!

TudorClock · 08/07/2024 12:48

That sounds really fun @DoreenonTill8 and @Rizzo8

Thank you

Or open top bus tour maybe?

I was going to suggest this, getting off for a wander round the Kelvingrove Museim.

TudorClock · 08/07/2024 15:16

Looking at the route, i could also get off at the Riverside museum, but dont know if 2 museums in one day might be a bit much.

There's a hop on hop off tourist bus that goes around lots of places of interest. You can book in advance on line and see where it stops to decide where you want to spend your time, I think it gives recommended how long you need to see things. There are far more than you could possibly do in a day.

Rizzo8 · 08/07/2024 17:45

Knowing both museums I think it likely would be @TudorClock having been to both, of its your first time there you're likely to spend a while at just one.

TudorClock · 08/07/2024 19:20

Thanks @Rizzo8
