I appreciate I am lucky to write this. Could anyone recommend a lovely luxurious spa or hotel as a break away from noise/stress? Never done anything like this before. Waiting for medical test results. Want to be pampered and try to forget what may be coming. Many thanks.

Isle of Eriska Hotel

Gleneagles has the most amazing spa I've ever been to. It's truly gorgeous but £££. Not sure where you stay and what your budget is but Bowfield is nice too and much more affordable.

Greatly appreciated. For once in my life I am not worried about the cost.x

Agree with Gleneagles or Stobo Castle.

Eastcoastie · 02/07/2024 16:55

Gleneagles for me and over stobo

sunshinechaser · 02/07/2024 17:36

Gleneagles is really special and super luxurious. Hope all goes well with your results.

I loved Glenapp Castle. So relaxing. In a beautiful area

I fancy Cromlis. Spa services in room. But I can take my dogs.

Hope it goes well for you op.

Yes, Gleneagles. Absolutely amazing and the staff make you feel so welcome. Everything about it is perfect - the rooms, the grounds, the food, the spa, the adult pool.

Really disappointed with Stobo Castle. Inexperienced staff, so busy it was chaotic and then having lunch in your robe with half the dining room suited and booted. Not for me. Treatments were pretty rubbish too.

I also like the Marine Hotel in Troon. Splashed out on a sea view suite and it was fabulous. Spa was lovely. No chance getting a room there now until the Open is all done and away.

On the subject of fancy hotels, I was looking at Schloss Roxburghe in the borders the other day. Looks nice but not been
