Routine Breast Screening Results

I'm in Scotland (South West).
I went for my first routine (3 yearly) breast screening appointment three and a half weeks ago (7th June) but I've had no result letter as yet. Starting to feel a bit anxious that I've had no word... Just wanted to ask if it's the norm for breast screening result letters to take as long (I've always had smear test results, for example, within a few days)?

That's good news. The longer it takes to get your results letter. If anything sinister/suspected sinister if found on the mammogram, you'd get an urgent referral to Irvine and you'd have heard by now. You get sent to Irvine South Ayrshire hospital deals with all these sort of things for D&G) and you'd have had that appointment by now. So if I was you, I'd be glad you haven't had that letter, it means you have had a mammogram result you'd hoped for, all clear xx

My first ever mammogram I got the results back in two weeks, it was normal, the second one took over 4 weeks (I’d rung up to find out what was going on) to get the results back and it was abnormal two friends had the same experience. I went to Irving received amazing care and was given the all clear.

My results took about 6 weeks possibly longer to come and results clear. The radiographer advised me results would take 4 weeks but my friend was told there was a delay and would be 6 weeks. In Scotland also.

Thank you guys for replying 😊
I got the result letter this morning - fortunately it's satisfactory and no evidence of BC, back in 3 years.
So that was 4 weeks for me for my result; sounds as though that's about the norm.
Thanks again for the replies.

No results letter after 2 weeks for screening mammogram. I know they said 2-3 weeks.. but I find it incredibly stressful waiting. Not helped by our random postal deliveries. Why don't they text the results? They said my results had been looked at by one doctor but are waiting to be checked by another.. which is routine apparently. Don't approve of private but have to admit considering it. 😕.

It is stressy, I'm still waiting, especially as I have a (so far) benign fibroadenoma.hope it's good news again. Pray it's good news for us all. ❤️
