Can anyone advise? We stay near Moffat so will be coming from the South. Friends were there yesterday and walked in without queuing around 3 so from around 2pm?. Does anyone live within a mile of Murrayfield with off street parking we could hire from 2- midnight or can confirm on street parking from is doable? Only got tickets on Friday and all pre booked has gone, hence our last minuteness…
TIA

Heading south is a nightmare isn't it - all the extra services are to Glasgow and north

The nearest park and rides to the stadium get very full quite early ( people saying by 10am) and the trams very crowded

Sone people were parking at the airport -/ again fine if you don't mind the long wait for trams ( take a late night picnic and use the loos )

However we walked / ok - half ran / to Waverley on Friday night and picked up the tweedbank train at 1143 which goes via newcraighall park and ride . We were in trainers for the purpose.

It took half an hour to exit the stadium - and half an hour to cover the 2 miles to Waverley

( we need go fast but did have 10-15 spare )

Also check out Lothian night bus routes to see if there is anything closer to you - newcraighall is on I think the N30 which was a back up plan if we failed to get the train

The train was quite full but extra long

That's in the end we had arrived 10 to 15 minutes ahead of the train departure time

Stenhouse area has been quiet for unrestricted on street parking. We went for a walk down to Murrayfield Friday night and were surprised. It's just over a mile but flat route.

I would agree - aim for Saughton or Stenhouse so you can get to A71 easily afterwards- and walk from there.

The Bankhead tram stop has been quiet when my hubby has driven past the last few nights.

I have DD's colleagues on my drive today. Otherwise I'd have offered it. Yesterday's crew were at ours by 11.45pm. And they walked from Murrayfield.

DD and I got completely lost on our exit. It is very very busy.

We parked up for free in a local forecourt, checked and got permission. It was easy. Long queues on leaving but expected. Thank you so much!
