In SCOTLAND: does anyone have a protected property trust?

Am in the process of changing wills and am getting bogged down with jargon. I was told i need a protected property trust, also was told i need a liferent will.

Are these 2 things basically the same?

Ive went down a rabbit hole online too

Am in Scotland, the laws are different to rest of the UK
