Holiday/temp jobs have changed so much since I was a student and I just waltzed into Scotjobs or Office Angels and got an office job. DS is 21, just finished his 3rd year at uni. Needs a job. He is not really a people person and would do well in something without direct customer contact - data entry, file processing, admin, warehouse, that sort of thing. Can anyone recommend any agencies in the Glasgow area for this sort of work?

Have you tried indeed.com ?

Yes - but those are mostly jobs on a permanent basis rather than casual week by week temping.

Think you can filter for temp jobs on there - DD used it but that's a few years ago

Unfortunately, many of the local & high street agencies are dying out now, they're being bought up by the larger companies and merged, or going bust.

However, do get your DS to upload his CV on sites such as Indeed as the PP said, also CV Library, Total Jobs, Reed as all of those have temp or contract roles advertised, and you can set your profile on those sites to say that you are only looking for temporary or contract roles. Most temp agencies will advertise their roles on at least one of those sites, and many will be trawling through their databases looking for new candidates, so he could get contacted that way.

Will do. Thanks for the advice. He really needs something to do to build his skills on advance of looking for a “proper job”.
