Hi everyone. We have recently moved to the area and I was wondering whether anyone has any recommendations on places to visit and things to do with a 3 year old in the Scottish Borders. We are based near Melrose. Any tips would gratefully be received- thanks so much in advance!

Not specifically in the Scottish borders but if you want somewhere not too far for a day out or an overnight trip, Alnwick Castle, gardens and treehouse are worth visiting and Beamish

Coldingham Bay beach is lovely. Wee cafe on the beach too.

Kielder isn’t far … lots to do & has a fab Winter Wonderland (when the time comes).

There's the new play park down at peebles, it's beautiful. Victoria Park. If you come up my way just over the border to Midlothian is vogrie park. We like to go to borders berries in the summer. I spend a lot of time in East Lothian with the kids, loads to do there. Donkey sanctuary in the borders is popular I've not been.
