How did your dc find it? My son needs a B for uni but thought it was really hard and has worked out he’s got around 58%! Just wondering if any teachers have seen it and what they thought. Hoping the grade boundaries will go down a bit.

First paper easy, second paper trickier was the opinion here.

DS also found paper 1 a good paper but paper 2 was difficult. He was predicted an A in tracking report before Easter so is a bit down. The boundary grade in last year's paper was about 58 % for a B I think - so maybe all is not lost yet OP? I can't believe that we are still testing kids based on how they perform on one day. Fingers crossed everyone.

Mine came out quite happy but then made the
mistaken of checking the completed paper his teacher had done and was a bit more wobbly! Still much more confident than after last years N5 maths though. He also felt paper 1 much more straightforward of the 2.

Dd said there was a question about a circle in a circle. She didn’t have a clue how to answer it.
Said the rest was ok.
Seemed more positive than after the national 5 last year. She managed a B in that and needs a B in the higher so keeping everything crossed.

Spoke to a maths teacher friend yesterday and she said it was a very straightforward paper
