Any parents/teachers, S6 leaving date?

So S6 pupils have left school and now just have their exams to sit but do they have an actual leaving date. Will it just be the date of their last exam or is there an official leaving date. I’m really thinking for tax credit/child benefit purposes. It’s 9 years since my last dc left school and trying to get information from ds3 is like pulling hens teeth. I could phone the school but don’t want to unless I have too, thanks.

My ds has to complete a leavers form on the date of his last exam I think. Does CB not finish in the August or something?

When approved education or training ends

When your child leaves approved education or training, payments will stop at the end of February, 31 May, 31 August or 30 November (whichever comes first).

Child Benefit when your child turns 16

Child Benefit for 16 to 19 year olds - when payments stop or continue, approved education or training, extensions.

DD’s school the last day in school was the last day of term before Easter. The school has a leavers assembly and pizza.
They only go in for exams and have to fill out a leavers form and get it signed by all teachers by May 31st.

I'm a careers adviser and we always use 31/05 as the official leaving date for their records.

Thank you everyone. I thought I remembered some sort of leavers form with his brothers. Sounds like 31st May is good.
