From my posting history you'll be able to see that I'm far from a fan of the SNP but even for me this cartoon from the times is appalling. I hope it gets taken down. I totally disagree with Andrew Neil.

I thought it was hilarious, but I have always had a sick sense of humour.

With all due respect , you have very entrenched views so it would be an absolute waste of my time @BigBoysDontCry .

Oh, have you been stalking me? 🙄🤔

I like a political cartoon and dislike the SNP/Green style of Scottish Politics of the last few years.

But, given the polarisation of politics and society, death and rape threats are more and more common for politicians. I don't particularly think this is great symbolism in light of the environment.

Misthios · 03/05/2024 19:50

Not a fan of the SNP in any way, shape or form. This is in very bad taste.

ABirdsEyeView · 03/05/2024 20:30

Politicians have hides like rhinos - I'm sure they can cope with a satirical cartoon!
Look at the SNPs conduct in Scotland - the appalling policies on self ID, the financial investigations, the general squandering of their opportunity to do brilliant things for the population. All while implying they were morally superior to Westminster govt and more capable of governing Scotland. I'm not inclined to worry about this tbh, not when you look at the actual physical threats women have been subjected to that no one seems to care about, including the SNP, with their defence of rapists gender shite at the expense of victims!

motheronthedancefloor · 04/05/2024 10:49

Given that the SNP to pose in front of signs saying those who believe women don't have penises should be decapitated, I think the outrage is hypocritical.

Rainbowshit · 06/05/2024 10:51

Changed my mind. The cartoon is accurate.

So fed up with the gender shite

That's awful, especially in a time when there are very real threats to politicians lives and MPs have been murdered.

littlegrebe · 06/05/2024 11:19

Deciding politicians have thick skins and can therefore handle "jokes" about their violent deaths is exactly why we get the wrong people in power. I've never voted SNP and I almost certainly never will but this is totally out of order and so are the posters on here defending it.

awayandaway · 06/05/2024 11:23

I dont like it, but I dont think its a terrible outrage either, it is very clear from their faces that it is the death of their careers that is being represented, not their actual deaths

Escapetothesun · 03/05/2024 14:35

Disgusting.

Par for the course with the racism often shown towards Scotland .

Racism by whom?

NoSnowdrop · 06/05/2024 11:30

It’s a political satirical cartoon and isn’t depicting their actual deaths but the policies of this ridiculously nasty and dishonest party.

SNP have done much to create hatred and division in Scotland.

SNP politicians have been photographed at marches standing in front of signs inciting violence to women and girls, ones saying “decapitate terfs”.
