Poor wee Isla Bryson

Isla is having a hard time in prison. Isla is being made to wear men's clothes, is being called "son" by the governors, denied make-up, and being referred to as "Mrs Doubtfire" by fellow prisoners.

What a wee shame.

My heart bleeds for the poor laydeh.
Let‘s hope zhe isn’t going to become a victim of something worse than transphobia in zher prison environment.

Chersfrozenface · 21/04/2024 12:42

Didn't the FM himself proclaim that IB was "at it", i.e. that IB is not actually a woman?

Redshoeblueshoe · 21/04/2024 12:44

Well that made me laugh - Mrs Doubtfire

OnlyLoveCanBreakYourHeart · 21/04/2024 13:07

Oh boo hoo.

MyRobotFriend · 21/04/2024 13:58

Mrs Doubtfire 😂

Seriously though, fuck that pervert. I hope they're spitting in his food.

KeinLiebeslied54321 · 21/04/2024 14:01

I have very little sympathy for a rapist. My only concern is that they're giving fodder with which a human rights (or some othef rights) claim could be made and compensation awarded.

HoneyButterPopcorn · 21/04/2024 14:03

Didn’t he get a written apology for being called ‘son’?

In which case i demand my apology from several (mostly older ladies) people who called me ‘son’ back in the 80s when (was was the fashion) I had a flat top and wore ‘men’s’ clothes.

mitogoshi · 21/04/2024 14:04

I fully support the need to be in a male prison but being called son or mrs doubtfire is bullying whatever the crime and is fodder for why they should be accommodated differently, which we don't want!

Jeezitneverends · 21/04/2024 14:05

Literally just heard this on the radio news…poor wee rapist 🤣🤣🤣

I very much doubt it. AFAIK IB doesn't have a GRC so doesn't even benefit from the legal fiction, i.e.state sponsored lie, that his legal sex is female.

He is a man, being treated like any other man in the prison.

And I'm pretty sure the giving of anodyne nicknames doesn't contravene human rights legislation (or even the April Fool's Hate Crime guff).

This is in Scotland. Culturally… well teasing and making up daft names for people/things/places is all par for the course.

i think he got off likely to be honest
with ‘Mrs Doubtfire’

Son is not bullying in Scotland. It's a very standard way of referring to a man of any age when you don't know his name, although it is often used by an older person to a younger. Was also often referred to as "son" in the 80s with my short hair, just back from Asda where I heard an lady say to a worker "can you tell me where the ketchup is son?" You'd really struggle to take offence at being called son.

And yes, son is standard address.

I'm Scottish, living in Scotland.
I just worry this could be twisted, that's all.
For the record, I've been called son too but that was by accident.

SkiingIsHeaven · 21/04/2024 14:14

Maybe if they hadn't raped someone he wouldn't be in there.

Did they apologise to the person they raped?

BaconCozzers · 21/04/2024 14:15

There there son, never mind.

'Mrs Doubtfire' is pretty funny, but I have total faith in the Scottish sense of humour and talent for insults - I bet there are more or better nicknames than that, they just can't publish them ...

The women, plural, he raped.

SkiingIsHeaven · 21/04/2024 14:18

Disgusting creature

User1979289 · 21/04/2024 14:21

Mrs Doubtfire 😂😂

Yirk · 21/04/2024 14:24

At least Robin Williams put more effort into looking womanly than the rapist.!

Needanewname42 · 29/04/2024 15:04

Aww son that's a shame.

I'm surprised they aren't calling him Wiggy but Mrs Doubtfire is a class act to follow

Well said! Although I'd say: ' did HE apologise to the person HE raped'.
As Youseless said: IB was clearly 'at it' all along. A male rapist.
