Glasgow O2 Academy

Hi, I'm meeting someone after a gig at the O2 academy. Can anyone tell me a good place to park nearby? Can you park on street around there? Or is there somewhere to park that I could then walk to an obvious landmark to meet?

There is a large car park next to it.

We parked there for a gig and there was loads of spaces

Thanks. Do you know if there's any cafes/bars next to the actual Academy building?

None that you would want to go to!

But the city centre is a short hop away on the subway.

The Laurieston is close by - a fantastic traditional pub that features in film and TV, including recently in Succession

We parked and then left after (although took ages to get out of the car park).

It's not the nicest of areas for country bumpkins like us
