This is another prospective Edinburgh independent school parent looking to validate a decision only possible due to being in a privilege situation. I don't blame you for rolling over your eyes.
But, I don't know many people in this city and English is not my first language. My daughter has a place at Edinburgh Academy and I feel incredibly lucky and excited for her future. I also understand the potential draw backs of such a school in terms of balance of representation.
I ask is the school welcoming especially of people who are different? We are belonging a same sex couple and we are not from the UK. Have you had a happy experience of the school and its community and social circle? If you had your time again, would you choose this school.
Do you have any advice for us?
