Has anyone recommendations for a private gynaecologist in Glasgow area ? It’s for dd - the waiting list is so long and she’s in a lot of pain so we’re looking for alternatives ! She would prefer a woman
thanks

I know he's a man, but Dr Andrew Paterson is great! I also saw Dr Catriona Hardie and Dr Aliya Nausheen through NHS but they consult privately too.

Thanks Toffeesheep - I’ll look them up . She would consider a man if he’s recommended

No recommendations but if you filter, here are all of the private consultants who work out of the Glasgow nuffield. Ross Hall will have a similar list although it will most likely be the same people. https://www.nuffieldhealth.com/consultants

Health Professionals, Consultants, Surgeons | Nuffield Health

Nuffield Health offer a long list of experienced consultants so you know you are in the hands of the experts.

I can recommend Dr Sarju Mathew at Ross Hall, direct contact with him through email after referral and really responsive.

Thank you Edinburgal and Magichen

I can’t recommend Dr Aliya Nausheen enough. Works within Nuffield and NHS also. If you google her it will come up with all her details, how to book a consultation and her experience/credentials etc. Very friendly and excellent at updating you. Hope this helps

Hi

I’m wondering how you got on Collette? I am looking for someone to help my 14 year old.

She’s feeling really isolated too because none of her peers are experiencing painful periods.

thanks

Mcpurple78 - she saw Dr Aliya Nausheen , who was very efficient and organised the scan for an extra £350 as part of the appointment which I suppose is normal and it needed to be done anyway. I I don’t think she was overly keen on her and was asked to pay for the appointment before she attended, which I thought was strange.
The others drs mentioned were booked up a lot further ahead, but it may be worth waiting . good luck to your daughter. It’s such a shame that you having to go private for something that’s so essential x
