I got a letter saying ive been called from this monday. But i got a phone call from the sherriff offices today and i tried to call them back 5 times but it rang out. Then it was closed.

Why would they call me??

My sister was called for a trial this week. They phoned her the day before to say she didn't need to go in to court the next morning for jury selection but that they'd do the selection and phone if she was picked, which they did. The call came on the morning of the trial so she had to be ready to go in at short notice after hearing from them.

Maybe thats it then, they might phone me on Monday morning.

Its just annoying they tell you to phone them back then the call goes unanswered until they are closed!!

That's really short notice, I had a letter last week asking me to attend as a juror in March.

my husband was cited recently and they just called on the Friday before as a reminder. He had to call on the Sunday and Monday nights and then wasn’t asked to call again and didn’t have to serve

No that was it actually. They called on the Friday as a reminder and then told him if he was needed they’d call on Monday morning. He then wasn’t phoned and he rang the line on the Monday night and after that didn’t have to to call back

Really annoying.
I've never yet had any joy with phoning them - at least several times a day for the past few weeks - deliberately varying the times of day.

They don't respond to emails very quickly either. They claim it takes them a full working week to do so, but actually seems to take longer.

I've had quite a few letters from them now asking me to tell them my phone number, but provided it to them less than a month ago, so am flummoxed about their lacksadaisical record-keeping.

I'm assuming they're desperate for people to serve on juries, which is why I've received multiple letters over the past 3 months, but can't be arsed with the customer service side of their job, and therefore miss out on anyone (like me) who gets sick of being ignored/ not responded to. And can't easily rearrange all my work/ other commitments as immediately as they seem to want.
