Move to fort william

We are considering a move to close to fort William due to a job offfer. Currently live in Southampton and are very outdoorsy people but have DS (4) and DS (3). I’m originally from Yorkshire and used to snow and rain and have raised my sons to go out in all weather also. I’m just wanting to gain any information about schools, closest hospitals, and weather it would be a better quality of life for the family.

I think you’re getting some rather unrealistic posts on your other thread OP. I don’t live in Fort William but I do live 25 mins away. Please feel free to PM me with any questions you have on the area/schools etc. I’m sure others will join the thread soon through to give you advice.

Edited to add, it was said on the other thread communities were insular, some can be but it’s not like WickerMan country.

Thank you!! I may just do that!

So I cannot figure how to message!
any advice would be great to be honest, I have family in Yorkshire but not much further so I am a little blind. I have lived in smaller communities and do know that ‘village’ life has both advantages and disadvantages but how would you rate the schools, hospitals etc.

You have plurals on the end of school and hospital-there aren’t plurals of them! You mean what is THE hospital and THE school like. You got lots of helpful and realistic advice on your other thread, the most helpful
of which is go and stay there for a while to try before you buy. Fwiw I’m from Yorkshire and love being outdoors. I moved to highlands when I was 12 and would never ever move back with my English born children as the level of anti English hatred I received was unbelievable.
