Divorce procedure w/ children over-16

If I understand correctly what I've read of the procedure for 'simplified' method of divorce in Scotland, where there are children over 16 they are notified through the court of the intention to divorce.

If you divorced this way, can you help with any info on how that notification worked? Presumably it's by letter to every child involved, but it would help to get an idea of the letter wording. Does it name which person has submitted the divorce request? Roughly how long after you submitted the divorce form did the notification come out to them? TIA!

My 2 definitely weren’t notified, just had to sign paperwork and get it witnessed. Was very straightforward, sokicitor dealt with it all

@millymoo1202 thank you for this! I'm not doing it via a solicitor and your reply made me go and re-read the notes and guidance. Turns out that it actually looks as though they only notify the children via the courts, in cases where the spouse's address isn't known. That's a relief!
