Help finding a place for my dads birthday

Looking for a space to have a birthday dinner in Glasgow for my dads 70th, ideally a place with a private room or semi separate space. Not too crazy priced but nice. There are only 11 of us and most places have rooms for much bigger numbers

Have you looked at The Bothy? Two Fat Ladies? Unsure if they’re a bit too pricey but they are lovely and have great private dining. The ubiquitous chip probably falls under the same category.

Looked at bothy but numbers too small, will look at the others, thanks

If he likes seafood, what about Fat Lobster? No private dining but quiet relaxed vibe.

The Butcher's Shop. We went a few weeks ago and while there isn't a private room, the tables were set up nicely with a few nooks. Lovely restaurant, cosy ambience and delicious food.

Ox and Finch or Eusebi's?

Chaiophraya

We had a private dining room at Tempus at the Grand Central Hotel. It was for a 70th birthday and was 8 adults and 4 children. It was £30pp in 2019.

Not sure if it still exists as I can't find any information about it online but I found it in my emails from when I booked it.

We've also had a family meal at Kimpton at Blythswood Square in a private dining room, it holds up to 16.

I feel like we also had a semi private space at Miller and Carter? But it might not have been the Glasgow one. And also at the Dakota at Euro Central you can get a semi private space but it's sort of open. Neither of them are that fancy for a birthday though.

Further afield is the River House in Stirling which has a semi private area. It's probably too far though but is worth a visit if you're nearby.

My parents in law only eat out in restaurants with private dining spaces so I'm familiar with a few...

La Lanterna on Great Western Road if you like Italian? Not the most exciting room (downstairs) but it's not too big and the menu isn't super expensive.

Other options could be Browns on George Square or the Buttery.

Piccolo Mondo although I don't know if they have a private area.

Ardnamurchan has a bit at the back.

Importantly both have an accessible loo.

Actually, a bit boringly, but all on the flat is the Grahamston restaurant in the Radisson Blu can do the numbers (not the cheapest though)

How about The Drake? Haven’t been in a while but we had a private birthday dinner for 12 a few years ago in the lovely upstairs private function room & it was ideal:
