As cheaply as possible. Need to hire a van for one way and drive something large from London to Scotland. Would probably get bus down to London the day before..

The cost of hiring a van one way was more than double the cost of hiring one to drive from borders to Kent and back when BIL moved - the premium for one way hire is high!

There’s a website where drivers already doing a route will bid to take on your job too. We just had three very very large parcels brought 300 miles for £70. It’s called Shipley.

By the time you’ve got a bus or train to London, and stayed over for the night, hired a van with a one way hire charge and put fuel in it, and endured 8-9hours of driving, plus refreshments along the way, I’m fairly sure it would be cheaper and easier to pay a courier type service!
