NHS Scotland - app?

I've just seen a thread in general mumsnet about Badger Notes which I had to google to work out what it was. But it's made me think - does anybody know why NHS Scotland is not going down the app/online patient records route? Are there good reasons? I find it a bit odd sometimes when e.g. travel insurance asks if I've seen a doctor in the last five years and when and what - honestly I can't usually remember. I have generally good health but now I'm nearly 50 there's a lot of 'history' to remember.

No money for an app when the health secretary is spending £11k on streaming footie on his iPad. Soz.

I think it’s a real shame you don’t have an nhs app in Scotland. I use mine a lot for rpt prescriptions, checking if test results in, vax records etc etc

NHS England has its issues but this aspect does work.

I can do repeat prescriptions online at least (in Scotland), but hopefully we’ll get the app one day.

We have Badger Notes in Scotland and it includes details of my previous pregnancy too - which was 5 years ago.

Not sure about other apps.

We use Badgernotes in Fife.

I call them Beavernotes Smile

@RoséProsecco is beaverBadgernotes just for maternity stuff then?

RoséProsecco · 06/12/2023 23:05

@Drpawpawspaw - yes - maternity notes only.

We have an app for our diabetes service too but it's information rather than clinical notes.

None of the different clinical information systems fully "speak" to each other, so I can't see their being an app soon.
