I think there's plans to bring back Strathclyde Council for my area, the local council seems to have money to burn though, £17.2 million on 75 flats, of course not family focused!

They can’t just “bring it back”. Strathclyde regional council came about in 1975 die to local govt reorganisation which resulted in the 2 tier local authorities -the regions and the districts. This was then disbanded with a further reorganisation in 1995/96. It was a hugely political move which can’t just be undone.

You’d almost think it’s revenge for the poor snp showing in the local elections.

Centralisation is about money and control and most especially the control of money.

It's not like they are unfamiliar with the "reallocation" of funds from their intended destination.
