Hi- I'm wondering if anyone has any tips or ideas for a dark skies weekend trip (maybe Cairngorms but could go further, east coast would be good). Would love to book a sort of 2 night break for DH birthday to include a dark skies event/talk/tour but am struggling to find much online! Can DIY but worried about finding somewhere to stay where we can do a little stargazing but also where there is enough going on to see in the day. Any thoughts on locations or similar types of trips? Would ideally be after January so can see my dilemma of choosing maybe a really rural hotel for the dark skies but being a bit stuck if it rains the whole time in the day?
