Have been trying to figure out about roads in and out of West end of Glasgow on Saturday (5/8/23) and getting confused by searching through google.
Would be really grateful if anyone can work out if;

  1. roads in and out of Partick area will be shut to cars- towards direction of Great Western Road
  2. Also, would it be feasible to plan to drive from Partick to Loch Lomond and back on Saturday. Sorry to ask this- trying to plan and finding it confusing through searching- thanks

From Patrick you should be ok. They're going through Fintry/Crow Road/Lennoxtown/Balmore/Boclair Road into Milngavie, along Great Western Road into Byres Road before going up George Street and starting the multiple loops of the city centre (between Kelvingrove Park and Montrose St/St Vincent St)

I’m travelling from Fife to Ayrshire and back on Saturday and I’ve been trying to work out if this will affect my routes. I don’t know the areas or roads well enough to work out if it’ll be a problem if I go via Glasgow or not!

It's the getting out of Fife that's more likely to be problem with both the Queensferry crossing and the bridge at Kinkardine closed at different times in the morning.

The rest of the motorway routes should be clear.

I'd take the M73/M74/M77 route around Glasgow though (ie not the M8 through the centre of Glasgow).

@prettybird Thank you! I will do that,and look into the forth crossing.
