Regular taxi booking - Edinburgh - recommendations?

DFIL is getting to the stage where he needs to stop driving, unf. He visits DMIL daily in a nursing home, that's his main use of the car these days. We are trying to find the easiest way for him to continue to do this and wondered about a regular taxi booking. It's only a short drive of 10-15 minutes each way maybe 5 days a week. He usually stays for about an hour. Rather than picking a company at random, does anyone have a recommendation for this kind of thing?

Thanks in advance.

central are good. You can set up an account with them and have a standing booking. They do quite a lot of contract work for the council.

City cabs or central taxis are the 2 black cab companies in Edinburgh. We also use central for our corporate bookings and have an account with them so we don't have to pay the driver each time.

I have found central to be more reliable.

City cabs let me down when I had a booking for the airport - over 30 mins late & with poor communication. Then another time just didn't show up.
