Please end my confusion! Is Monday a bank holiday in Scotland?

The banks will be shut as it's a national bank holiday.

Scotland has Public Holidays which vary depending on area.
It's a public holiday on the west coast but not where I am on east coast, we had last Monday

Our school is off today and Monday. Monday 29th May is the Spring Bank Holiday in Scotland

schools in west lothian had the 22nd off instead

It depends where you live and who you work for. It's not a bank holiday across the country. Edinburgh schools were off this Monday but work take the 29th with the rest of the UK.

in Argyll and Bute the council, libraries swimming pool and museum staff take the first Monday in May as a public holiday, however the public holiday for schools in Helensburgh area is the last monday in May obviously one half of council don't speak to other half
England has both May holidays as they don't have 2nd Jan as a public holiday
