Student Accomodation in Glasgow

DS3 has managed to get himself a place at Glasgow Art School, he was originally hoping to get into Edinburgh as he is already at Edinburgh College and is enjoying living there but it wasn't too be. He's starting to look forward to it though.
GSA has some accommodation but doesn't guarantee a spot like Unis do for first year. Not commutable due to our rural location.
I had a wee look at private hall provision just in case but all the affordable ones are booked up already! ( Have so far only checked out fairly central halls). Have no clue how things work in Glasgow or best areas to look etc. Mild panic may set in soon, keep thinking about all the news stories from last year!
Anyone have any tips, or alternatively know someone who would like a term time lodger who's quite house trained for an art student!

There are Unite halls in the West End where DD stayed near Kelvingrove art gallery. Decent bus services along Argyll Street, subway from Kelvin Hall or walkable to city centre.

Panic over, DS3 managed to get a place in the Art School housing, reasonably priced too!
