Like rats on a sinking ship me thinks......

Or it could just be that after 16 years serving as a Minister, being 58 years old, and being the main carer for a wife with MS, they've decided that a slightly less demanding and taxing job would be to the benefit of all.

Whatever the reason, I am not upset. One of the reasons why I have argued that the SNP is the best argument against independence.

Yes. Most retire much younger! Especially caring for a spouse.

Well there;s no way he;d keep his job in any reshuffle, would he? He's been bumbling along incompetently for decades, being the useful fall-guy for Sturgeon.

Remember the blended learning thing? Swinney stands up and does the whole "blended learning for the whole 2020-21 school year" thing, parents through a massive hairy fit online, Scot Gov realises they've misjudged it so they send Swinney out to lie that he never said blended learning for the whole of hte school year and it's everyone back to school. And that was after the "algorithm" fiasco of the same year with the SQA. He's a disaster and clearly knows the dirt on Sturgeon as she would have ditched him years ago - dislike the woman intensely but she is a canny operator.

Sugarfree23 · 03/03/2023 11:27

The blended learning was another half thought out idea.

Keyworker kids needed 5 days care
50% of time they'd be in class, Where were they going to be the other 50% of the time?
Can't have them listening to the same lesson in class twice - they'd be bored stiff.

At no point did they answer that question or think who was going to look after them.

Glad he's going.

Useless
