Hi all 👋

I’m moving to Helensburgh in a few months and having a bit of a mare finding a nursery place. I’ll be living on the west side of Helensburgh.

So far Mulberry Bush don’t have availability until October, Stepping Stones have no availability, Drumfork have availability in June however it’s a drive from me rather than a walk. I was also put off having read drumforks latest care inspectorate review.

Can anyone share their thoughts on nurseries in and around Helensburgh? I would also consider a childminder, my little one isn’t two until the end of this year.

Thanks!

I'm pretty certain the council have a list of all nurseries and childminders in the district. Have you checked with them?

I moved last august and had the same struggle for my 3 year old, we ended up getting a place at Mulberry bush which has been great - so keep on the waiting list. There is also Basic in town, the council has a list of childminders which might be useful as well. Helensburgh is great for kids, good luck with the move.
