Targeted strikes

My MSP is John Swinney so my kids will miss an extra 6 days of schooling on top of the 4 they've already missed plus the 5 planned for March and April. Half term this week so they've only been in for two days this week, two days the next week, 3 days the following week and then two days the week after that. Three full weeks of missed school.

My boss is not going to be happy with me either. I'm really regretting not taking up booze again at the end of dry January as I could do with a very big glass of wine.

Your poor kids . So sorry for them, it’s a crying shame.

Such a shame.

We have the misfortune to live in the same constituency as Ross Greer, the wee Greens lad who is apparently Education spokesperson. News to me, but I suppose it's only 5 minutes since he was at school himself, so makes sense.

Because of this, we are off 22,23,24 February, again 28 Feb and 1 March, and again 7, 8, 9 March. 🙄

Same as us. I feel the targeted strikes are really unfair tbh. I can’t see it making much difference, Sturgeon is on the way out already and it gives handy political soundbites on how unreasonable the teachers union is being by targeting particular groups by of children.

I feel exhausted by it already. Dreading emailing my boss. I started a new job in December and am still in my probation period.

Is the list of new dates out? I couldn't find it. Fed up now!

There’s an article in the independent if you Google the extra days don’t apply to everyone though just the unfortunate folk in the constituents of education ministers, first minister and her deputy. They haven’t released dates of rolling strikes that will happen after these strikes. Just the national one on the 28th/1st.
