Linlithgow primary school

Hi

We're considering moving to Linlithgow, which has a good reputation for schools. However, the house we like is in the Linlithgow Primary School catchment area, which has a terrible ranking (somewhere in the 900s of 1100 odd schools in Scotland).

Has anyone got any experience with this school, or any insight in why it ranks so badly (last inspection report is over 5 years old)?

We don't have official league tables in Scotland so I wouldn't pay attention to any arbitrary 'ranking.'

All of the linlithgow schools have a very good reputation, also all will have their flaws.

I loved living there but be aware of the tip smell, it was really bad last time I visited and I'd not be happy with the level of air pollution there generally now.
