Can anyone recommend an edinburgh baker for special birthday cake & also somewhere to get fancy chocolate strawberries?

Broken Clock Cafe do lovely patesserie and do some big cakes. Well worth a drool look even if they're not suitable.

Krema Bakehouse on Leith Walk (see Instagram) or Mimis or the Sicilian Bakery on Albert St.

Krema makes spectacular cakes.

The Pastry Section (Stockbridge and Leith) does gorgeous cakes which are very reasonably priced.

I’ve had cakes from just so sweet and mimi’s.

I wouldn’t get one from mimi’s again tbh.

Just so sweet was fab though, really pretty cake and her stuff always tastes great - I met her at a school fair originally and bought brownies and stuff from her 😂

I have a friend who makes amazing cakes she's in the clermiston area

Sweet little Things bakery. Based at Cammo. She made a great cake for my mum this week. Everyone commented how good it looked at tasted.
