Edinburgh schools offer day

Hi, I’m waiting to hear if my LG has a P1 place at Heriots or Watson’s and today is ‘the’ day.

I’m wondering if anyone in the same position has heard yet or if you know how/when the decision is communicated? I know it’s only P1 but it feels so stressful 😅

Sorry for being dense but what is an LG?

From memory of Heriots applications, they tell you exactly when they say they will! Good luck - if you don't get in, it is probably that it's not a good fit. Experience of both outcomes.

Based on the open day GWC but based on the interview process GH. At GWC my 4 year old was hurried off as soon as we got in and she did not enjoy 😢 At GH there was a 10 min play session first which completely relaxed her and she was totally herself going in to the interview. But tbh right now, while I’m waiting for emails and letters - either 😅😅

I really hope we hear soon - either way. It’s the not knowing that’s stressful 😬

Same situation as you! And save experience too. GWC seemed great on open day but assessment day was very hurried and didn't feel reassured. GH was a very good experience on the day! Waiting eagerly to hear!

I phoned admissions at 4pm and was told the emails would be sent out ‘early morning’ 🤞 🤞

GH email arrived 9.10am, GWC still waiting ….

GWC post has arrived now (although no email!). Hopefully this thread helps people out next year with timings and methods of offers :) x
