Has anyone stayed in the cottages before? We're going for a few days & just wondering if it's like Center Parc where you need to take everything e.g. dishwasher tabs

@Musicalmistress You might already be away - I’ve just seen this was posted a few days ago! Yes, we had to take everything with us.

interested to hear your experience! We went a couple of years ago at this same time of year after seeing loads of great reviews and we just didn’t have that experience at all 🙈

I took just about everything with us & didn't need anything lol Kitchen was fairly well equipped with washing up liquid, dish sponge & tea towel etc as well as tea/coffee and salt/pepper sachets. There was soap & plenty of toilet rolls in the bathroom and extra towels provided when we asked.
The cottage we were in was a bit tired looking but everything we needed was provided and staff very helpful. Cottage was very warm when we arrived, in fact we had to turn the heating down but nice to arrive somewhere cosy.
Best bit though was the snow! We left a very mild central belt and the fields got whiter the closer we got to Aberfeldy - the resort was completely white! Again full of praise for staff as all paths/parking/roads were cleared and gritted.
I'd definitely go again if we got a deal, not sure I'd pay full price given how tired the cottage was though.

@Musicalmistress Oh good! I’m glad you had a nice time! It’s been a couple of years since our visit but ours was so bad it was actually laughable 😂 we stayed in a cottage right at the top of the resort which had a brand new hot tub. Arrived and the hot tub was immaculate so we had high hopes walking into the cottage 😬 and it was awful. Our radiators were stuck on full and it was stifling hot. Couldn’t be turned off or down as the controls were broken. The cooker was missing half of the knobs to turn it on 🙈 no cables in the tv so it didn’t work 🙈
It had taken us almost 6 hours to drive there rather than the 3 it should have taken as there was severe flooding on the way 🙈 if it hadn’t been for that we would have just turned and come home but we decided just to make the most of it 😬 I did complain but was told they had nowhere to move us to.
Walked into the town and literally 90% of the town was closed for their holidays so we couldn’t even eat out 😂
DH was up being ill all night within about half an hour of eating Scampi & chips in the hotel restaurant 🙈

We were only there 2 nights and I spent the majority of it in the hot tub in the rain with a bottle of wine 😆🍷
We actually stopped at Crieff Hydro for an unplanned night on the way home to relax and feel like we’d had at least one nice night away 🤣

We had a pleasant few days there in the summer - everything provided - the lodge definitely a bit dated but we enjoyed having the pool and good walks from the front door. In august it was pricey by my standards but seemed one of the cheaper options drivable from Edinburgh!

@ScottishMum03
Oh no! That sounds awful!
