Decent ear piercers Glasgow

My DD (15) wants a second lobe piercing in both ears. The jewellery shop where she got her ears done 2 years ago in the West End has closed. I'm obviously not going anywhere near Claire's so am probably looking at a proper piercing studio which tend to be attached to tattoo parlors.

I am a bit at a loss as there are so many in Glasgow but as I'm not into tattoos or piercings myself, I don't know which ones are good. I'm scared off by places that say they do genital piercings but maybe that's me just being squeemish!

I haven't worn pierced earrings myself since my late teens. I suffered terribly from swollen infected lobes that was probably kicked off by a dodgy nickel earring and then meant I couldn't even tolerate gold. However I'm thinking about trying to get my ears repierced with surgical steel or titanium and seeing if I can tolerate them. My body chemistry may have changed in 30 years and maybe I might not react?

But anyway, first things first - does anyone have any recommendations for a reputable piercer?

Titan Tattoos in clydebank is brilliant.

Nirvana piercing in city centre. Look them up on Facebook and Instagram too and you can see their work as they're pretty active on social media.

Thanks both. City Centre is easier for us to get to and Nirvana is one that's come up in my searches so might give them a call. Will report back!

Just reporting back that Nirvana was great. Very thorough with their paperwork and checking my daughter's age even though she had her Young Scot card and I was with her. My piercings in both ears hadn't closed up in the 30+ years since I last had earrings in, so I got some earrings too.

Good aftercare instructions and reasonably priced - all earrings had titanium posts so won't kick off any nickel allergies (which I have).

Glad it went well. I need to get booked in for a jewellery change and maybe another piercing too whilst I'm there

I went yesterday so thanks @ILivebytheRiver for starting this as it reminded me to get an appointment booked! New flat piercing and a jewellery change

Cool. Can I ask you what a flat piercing is? I was fascinated by all the different jewellery they had for the different types of piercings. Some were enormous! I can see how it would become addictive 😀

A flat is a cartilage piercing up towards the top of the ear. I've attached a picture because I'm rubbish at explaining it!
