Visiting Fife alone, where to visit and potentially live

In a couple of weeks time I will have a few days in Fife to rest my weary bones and to look at potential places to move to. Wanting: coastal, friendly, maybe arty, not too remote. Any ideas of where to see?

Have a look around the Newburgh area. It is becoming more arty and has more budget friendly housing. I’m not sure about the schools though, secondary catchment for Bell Baxter. 🤷‍♀️
It is a lovely wee town though, very friendly!

So having done more research I am looking for bigger towns that say Elie etc.

There aren't many big coastal towns in Fife. Kirkcaldy at the Dysart end maybe? Dalgetty Bay but it's expensive. I still think Newport is a great place and very near to Dundee.

Coastal properties in fife are pretty much out of ur budget I'm afraid.
I don't live on the coast but near a big town with several high schools & numerous primary schools, I'm only about 10-15 mins from the coast & 10-15 mins to hills, woods, countryside.
