Now that the legislation has been passed in Scotland, it seems you can order your free period products online to be delivered to your front door.

Anyone done this yet? Are they any good?

I've been able to do this in my region for a while. I ordered some and there was a choice of disposable or reusable or a moon cup type thing.

Everything was good quality but reusable stuff took a while. Dd ordered disposable and they came quicker. All Hey Girls.

We got this ages ago in our area and I ordered for me and my DDs. They took months to arrive. They sent out reusable pads, disposable pads and tampons and a cup (and collapsible pot to microwave it in once it's been cleaned) from Hey Girls.

The reusable pads came in a little pouch and I really like those. The tampons were fine but DDs didn't like the disposable pads, said they weren't very sticky so came off easily.

The cup is way too big for me, I've used a cup before and been fine (but think I accidentally threw it out when I moved house) but this one is just way too long for me to be comfortable sadly.

Is there a link for this?

Notplayingball · 29/08/2022 21:46

Thanks everyone. Mixed views as I expected. I will just have to see what it's like. Have requested disposable pads but second choice was a mixture of items so will see what is available in stock as the order is processed. Not in a rush, but curious to find out about the quality.

SgurrNaCìche you can go on your local authority website and all I did was type in their search bar "period products". The link just came up straight away.

I wasn’t aware of this, I knew you could collect them from the library but that’s not very convenient. I will investigate…….

I thought it's worth a try to see if they are any good. You can check out your local authority website. Noticed a post on social media from a woman saying you can get them delivered to your front door.
