Hi. Can anyone tell me how / where to explore Steampunk in Scotland? (Edinburgh area best as live here & need public transport to get around)

My Dd is interested. She's 15, with ASD so I'd like to accompany her to see what it's all about & if its a friendly happy crowd?

Sorry, no idea, but it would be good to know! Maybe there’s something near ish. Like the Dracula goth thing at Whitby.

Oh OP, this used to be my scene. But now I am a fat 41yr old with a big trunk of useless clothes that I can’t fit into.
Walking down Buchanan street I passed a wee girl wearing New Rock Boots so the scene must still be alive somewhere?

We used to go to Whitby Goth Weekend, it was a blast. Brilliant for baby goths too, Sunday was promenade day where everyone has on their best outfits to wander around the town.

it the Chi-Ovena tea room is still in the west end?

There seems to be an Edinburgh Steampunk Society on Facebook
