One day in Pitlochry with kids aged 7, 9 and 13. What would you do? Thanks.

Depends when it is. If it's during the Enchanted Forest then I'd definitely go to that

Try to avoid the coop as far as you can. Was passing a few weeks ago and needed to get coffee...£9 a jar for nescafe gold blend ShockShock
Has be be the most expensive coop in Scotland.

Hermitage, salmon ladder and excellent playpark over at crieff. There is a playpark we sonwtimes stop at when we head up the a9

Thank you! It's today. We'll explore the town then find some woodlands I think. The enchanted forest ones are lovely at all times I hear.

Fish and Chip shop is good. It's called
mcKays.

We went to the dam, visitor centre & salmon ladder, then Killiekrankie gorge. All stunning in the sunshine. Wish we'd had time for Faskally. Beautiful area.

Sorry I'm not being any help but we used to go to Pitlochry caravan site a lot as kids and I remember the salmon ladder and exhibition being the most boring thing I'd ever been too. Hopefully it's improved. Pitlochry is a lovely place but I wouldn't say it's got a lot for children. We're much older now and still go a couple of times a year but we like to visit distilleries, castles etc

Thank you. I'm guessing the visitor centre has been updated, it's a very new building with cafe/balcony looking out over the dam. We didn't spend too long looking at the salmon ladder but the visitor centre was quite good with interactive stuff about how dams work, hydroelectric power etc. Cafe was great, and brilliant view. Sun makes everything look good!
